Javier G. Gomez is Vice President and Senior Underwriter in the Political Risk, Credit and Bond group at AXA XL. His experience as an emerging markets underwriter dates back to 2001. Javier was previously at Exporters Insurance Company and QBE Americas before he joined XL Group specialty team in 2011. His areas of expertise include devising insurance solutions for the energy & power sector, financial institutions, multilateral agencies, industrial conglomerates, manufacturers and traders operating across the Americas.
Javier holds a Master of Arts degree in political economy from SUNY-Binghamton and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and political science from CUNY. A native of Mexico, he’s based in New York City.
